Welcome to Leg Artisan. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and your purchase of products from Leg Artisan. By visiting our website, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Online Store Terms

By using our website, you confirm that you are legally permitted to enter into transactions in your jurisdiction.

You may not use our products or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of our website.

2. Products

Leg Artisan specializes in handcrafted and made-to-order wood products, including furniture legs, table bases, furniture components, and other wood products.

Because natural wood varies from piece to piece, variations in grain pattern, color, tone, knots, texture, and other natural characteristics are expected. These variations are part of the character of natural wood and generally are not considered defects.

Product photographs are intended to represent our products as accurately as reasonably possible. Colors and appearance may vary depending on the wood, finish, lighting, photography, and your screen settings.

3. Handmade Products and Dimensions

Many Leg Artisan products are individually produced or finished by hand. Minor variations between individual pieces may occur.

Dimensions shown on product pages are intended to be accurate; however, small tolerances may occur because of the handmade nature of our products and the natural characteristics of wood.

If an exact measurement is critical to your project, please contact us before ordering.

4. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

We accept custom and made-to-order projects when available.

Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all relevant specifications before production, including dimensions, wood species, finish, quantity, mounting method, hardware specifications, and other customization details.

Once production of a custom product has started, changes or cancellations may not always be possible.

If we manufacture a custom product incorrectly compared with the specifications agreed upon with the customer, please contact us so that we can work to correct the issue.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices displayed on our website are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to correct pricing, description, availability, or other errors appearing on our website.

Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can be processed unless another arrangement has been agreed to in writing.

Applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, or other fees may be added depending on the order and destination.

6. Order Acceptance

Receiving an order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of an order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including because of pricing errors, suspected fraudulent activity, product availability, production limitations, or an inability to fulfill the requested specifications.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded.

7. Production Times

Production estimates shown on our website or provided during a custom-order discussion are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed completion date in writing.

Because many products are handmade or made to order, production times may occasionally change because of material availability, production requirements, customization, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Once an order has been transferred to a shipping carrier, delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including carrier delays, weather, customs processing, transportation disruptions, and incorrect or incomplete delivery information.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

For international orders, customers may be responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or similar charges unless we expressly state that such charges are included in the order.

9. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers should inspect their order promptly after delivery.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or materially different from what was ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs or other information that will help us evaluate and resolve the issue.

Please retain the product and original packaging while a shipping-damage claim is being reviewed.

10. Returns and Exchanges

Returns and exchanges are governed by our separate Return Policy.

Eligible return or exchange requests should generally be made within 14 days of delivery.

If a product is defective, damaged, or materially different from what was advertised or ordered, Leg Artisan will cover eligible return shipping costs.

For eligible returns made for other reasons, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product to our designated return location in Slidell, Louisiana.

Leg Artisan does not charge a restocking fee.

Eligible exchanges requested within 14 days are offered without an exchange fee, subject to the conditions stated in our Return Policy.

Custom or personalized products may have different return eligibility unless the product is defective, damaged, or does not conform to the agreed specifications.

11. Installation and Use

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended furniture, structure, surface, or application.

Furniture legs, bases, mounting hardware, and similar components must be installed correctly and securely.

Where appropriate, installation should be performed by someone with suitable furniture-building or installation experience.

Leg Artisan is not responsible for damage resulting from improper installation, modification, misuse, inadequate supporting structures, incorrect hardware, or use of a product for an unsuitable application.

12. Intellectual Property

The content of the Leg Artisan website, including original photographs, product designs, descriptions, graphics, branding, and other original materials, may be protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or use our protected content without permission where such permission is required by law.

13. Third-Party Services

Our store may use services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping companies, and other service providers.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be governed by the applicable provider's terms and policies.

14. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our website to engage in fraudulent or unlawful activities, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website security, collect information unlawfully, or violate the rights of Leg Artisan or another person.

15. Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, and other information.

However, natural wood and handmade products inherently contain variations. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, minor variations that do not materially affect the intended functionality of a product are not considered defects.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Leg Artisan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use or misuse of our products or website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

17. Privacy

Your submission and use of personal information through our store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices, or legal requirements.

The version posted on our website at the time of your transaction will apply to your order, subject to applicable law.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply based on the customer's location.
